Since the literacy rate in Pakistan is estimated at 25-30%, and education one of the biggest needs of the country, the main thrust of Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) is to help improve the quality of education.
FESF’s Eduserve program is designed to strengthen the local educational infrastructure by training teachers, administrators, and parents.
Activities include: Conducting teacher training seminars; publishing and distribution of "The Family Educator" a publication designed for parents and teachers; and distribution of educational video programs to various institutions throughout Pakistan.
FESF introduced a literacy program to the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Literacy Commission and various NGO’s, as well as participated in workshops organized by Govt. of Pakistan Special Education Ministry and UNESCO.
